AN ACT to amend section twenty-six of the Pawn-

brokers Ordinance, 1860.

[Assented to 8th December, 1944.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

Short title. 1.

This Act may be cited as the Pawnbrokers Ordin- ance Amendment Act, 1944, and shall be read as one with the Ordinance 24 Victoria No. 7 as amended by the

Act 41, Victoria No. 10 (as reprinted in the Appendix to

the Sessional Volume of the Statutes for the year 1928),

hereinafter referred to as the Ordinance.

Amendment 2.

Section twenty-six of the Ordinance is amended by deleting in line thirteen thereof the words "apparently under the age of fourteen" and inserting in lieu thereof the words "under the age of eighteen."
