Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers

Amendment Regulations 2008

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Pawnbrokers and Second-hand
Dealers Amendment Regulations 2008.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows:

(a)	regulations 1 and 2— on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.	The regulations amended The amendments in these regulations are to the Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Regulations 1996.
4.	Regulation 5 amended Regulation 5(2) is amended as follows:

(a)	after "("the new sale")" by deleting "if";
(b)	in paragraph (a) before "the traded" by inserting

(c) where the trade-in value of the traded goods is
less than $200, if the purchase is made by way of exchange without money changing hands.

(d) at the end of paragraph (b) by deleting the full stop and inserting instead

5.            Regulation 13 amended

The Table to regulation 13(1) is amended in item 1 by deleting
"100" and inserting instead —
