Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following
Regulation under the Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Act 1996.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Regulation 2008 to increase the fees payable in connection with licences under the Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Act 1996.
The fee increases are generally in line with movements in the Consumer Price Index (rounded to the nearest
dollar).
This Regulation is made under the Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Act 1996, including sections 9
(Application to licences of Licensing and Registration (Uniform Procedures) Act 2002), 13 (Register of
licences) and 43 (the general regulation-making power) and, in particular, section 43 (1) (g).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Amendment (Fees)
Regulation 2014.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on 1 July 2014 and is required to be published on the
NSW legislation website.
