His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Act 1996.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to increase fees payable in relation to the licensing Act 1996, including sections 9 and 10A (fees for licence applications and renewals), section 13 (fee for a certificate containing information extracted from the register of licences) and section 43 (the general regulation-making power).

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 31 March 2001.

3 Amendment of Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Regulation 1997

The Pawnbrokers and Second-hand Dealers Regulation 1997 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.
