REGULATIONS UNDER THE PATENTS ACT 1952-1973.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Patents Act 1952-1973.

Amendments of the Patents Regulations 

Commencement.

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 1975.

Fees.

2. Regulation 5 of the Patents Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (5) the words “ Paragraph (a) of item 34 ” and substituting the words “ Paragraph (b) of item 33 ”;

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (5a) the words and figures “ item 13 or 15 ” and substituting the word and figure “ item 12 ”;

(c) by omitting sub-regulation (6); and

(d) by omitting from sub-regulation (7) the words and figures “ item 37 or 38 ” and substituting the words and figures “ item 36 or 37 ”.

Continuation fees.

3. Regulation 16a of the Patents Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting the word and figure “ item 8 ” (wherever occurring) and substituting the word and figure “ item 7 ”; and

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (2) the words “ the date fixed under sub-section (2) of section 2 of the Patents Act 1969 ” and substituting the words “ 1 January 1970 ”.

Renewal fees.

4. Regulation 29 of the Patents Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (4a) the word and figure “ item 23a ” and substituting the word and figure “ item 22 ”.
