PASTURES PROTECTION (AMENDMENT) ACT.

Act No. 62, 1966.

An Act relating to the holding of general elections of directors of pastures protection boards; for this purpose to amend the Pastures Protection Act, 1934, as amended by subsequent Acts; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 14th December, 1966.]

D E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative
Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as

follows : —

(1) This Act may be cited as the "Pastures Protection (Amendment) Act, 1966".

(2) The Pastures Protection Act, 1934, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Pastures Protection Act, 1934-1966.

(1) The Pastures Protection Act, 1934, as amended by subsequent Acts, is amended—

(a) by omitting subsection two of section six;

(b) by omitting from subsection three of the same section the words "April in the year one thousand nine hundred and forty" and by inserting in lieu thereof the words "September in the year one thousand nine hundred and sixty-seven";

(ii) by omitting from the same subsection the word "April" and by inserting in lieu thereof the word "September". (2)

(c) (i) by omitting from subsection five of the same section the word "May" and by inserting in lieu thereof the word "October";

(2) Directors holding office immediately before the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-seven, may, subject to the provisions of the Pastures Protection Act, 1934-1966, remain in office until the directors elected at the general elections in September, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-seven, take office.
