HEREAS it is desirable to enable the Governor with the Preamble.

advice and consent of the Executive Council, to reduce the

the Governor-iniChief of the Province of South Australia, with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of tIne said Province, in this present Parliament as- sembled, as follows:

that the application for such rcduction be madc within twelve calendar months from the passing of this Act, or the publication of any assessment in accordance with the terms of Act No. 20 of 1858, intituled An Act for an Alssessment on Stock, and for other purposes therein mentioned," and an Act, No. 7 of 1861, to amend the said Act No. 20 of 1858, which shall last happen: Provided that nothing in this Act shall authorize the repayment of any assessment heretofore paid or the rcduction of any sum due: Provided also, that every such reduction shall be notified in the South Australian

Government Gazette.
