REGULATIONS
UNDER THE PASSPORTS ACT 1920.
I,
THE DEPUTY OF THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia,
acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the
following Regulations under the Passports
Act 1920, to come into operation as from the 1st day of October,
1932.

Amendment of Passports Regulations.
(Statutory
Rules, 1930, No. 155 as amended to this date.)
Definitions.
1. Regulation
2 of the Passports Regulations is amended by omitting the words “Home Affairs”
(wherever occurring) and inserting in their stead the words “the Interior.”
Officers
authorized to receive applications for and to renew and visé passports.
2. Regulation
3 of the Passports Regulations is amended by omitting the words “Home Affairs”
and inserting in their stead the words “the Interior.”
Fee for
passport.
3. Regulation
6 of the Passports Regulations is amended by omitting the words “Ten shillings”
and inserting in their stead the words “One pound.”
Empire-widepassports.
4. Regulation
11 of the Passports Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1.)
the words “other than a passport issued to a naturalized British subject whose
naturalization is effective only in the country in which it was granted.”
Delivery
of passports.
5. Regulation
13 of the Passports Regulations is amended by omitting the words “Home Affairs”
and inserting in their stead the words “the Interior.”
Application
for renewal of passports.
6. Regulation
16 of the Passports Regulations is amended by omitting from paragraph (c)
the words “One shilling” and inserting in their stead the words “Two shillings.”

Visé
and indorsement of passport.
7. Regulation
22 of the Passports Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of
sub-regulation (2.) the word “Two” and inserting in its stead the word “Four”;
(b) by omitting paragraph (b) of
sub-regulation (2.) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:—
“(b)
For any indorsement of a British passport made after the issue of that
passport—Four shillings; and”, and
(c)
by omitting from paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (2.)
the word “Eight” and inserting in its stead the word “Sixteen.”
Permits.
8. Regulation
23a of the Passports
Regulations is amended by omitting
from sub-regulation (2.) the words “Ten shillings” and inserting in their stead
the words “One pound.”
Schedule.
9. The
Schedule to the Passports Regulations is amended by omitting the words “Home
Affairs” (wherever occurring) and inserting in their stead the words “the
Interior.”
