I, Rodd Staples, the Secretary of the Department of Transport, in pursuance of section 125 of the

Passenger Transport Act 2014, make the following Order on behalf of TfNSW.

Explanatory note

The object of this Order is to amend the Passenger Transport (Opal and Other Fares) Order 2016 to—

(a)	decrease certain off-peak fares for rail passenger services (other than light rail services), and
(b)	provide for new off-peak fares for light rail services and bus services, and
(c)	increase fares for short journeys (being fares relating to distance band 1) on light rail services and bus services, and
(d)	make certain fare changes relating to Stockton Ferry services, and
(e)	make certain changes to the daily fare caps for Opal smartcard fares and approved payment device fares.

This Order is made under section 125 of the Passenger Transport Act 2014.

2 Commencement
This Order commences on 6 July 2020 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.
