Passenger Transport Amendment Regulations 2000

I, the Lieutenant-Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Passenger Transport Act 1997 .7 August 2000

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Passenger Transport Amendment Regulations 2000 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 commences. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Passenger Transport Regulations 2000 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 5 amended (Special public passenger vehicle permits) Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting from subregulation (1) "the owner" and substituting "the registered operator"; (b) by omitting from subregulation (3)(a) "owner or other person in charge" and substituting "registered operator". 5Schedule 1 amended (Operational Capacity)Schedule 1 to the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting "kept under section 11 of the Traffic Act 1925" from item 1 of Part 2 and substituting "kept under the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999,".
