Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Passenger Transport Act 1990.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Passenger Transport Regulation 2007 to permanently establish the fare pre-payment scheme for taxi-cabs hired by passengers at specified taxi zones in the Kings Cross area. The trial of that scheme currently ends on 13 October 2013.
This Regulation is made under the Passenger Transport Act 1990, including section 63 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Passenger Transport Amendment (Pre-payment of Fares) Regulation 2013.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.
3 Amendment of Passenger Transport Regulation 2007
(1) Clause 163B Kings Cross fare pre-payment scheme Omit “or assessing the pre-payment trial” from clause 163B (8).
Insert instead “the scheme”.
(2) Clause 163B (9) Omit clause 163B (9) and (10). Insert instead:
(9) In this clause:
designated night means:
(a) Sunday 6 October 2013, or (b) any other night specified by TfNSW by notice published in the Gazette and on the website of TfNSW.
