PASSENGER TRANSPORT AMENDMENT ACT 1997 No 72—

PROCLAMATION

ANTHONY MURRAY GLEESON, A.C., Lieutenant-Governor.

I, the Honourable A. M. Gleeson, Lieutenant-Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Passenger Transport Amendment Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 1 September 1997 as the day on which that Act commences, except so much of Schedule 1 [ll] to that Act as would commence proposed section 11A of the Passenger Transport Act 1990.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Proclamation commences the Passenger Transport Amendment Act 1997, except

so much of Schedule 1 [1 l] to that Act as would commence proposed section 11A of the

Passenger Transport Act 1990. Section 11A deals with the issue and renewal of a driver's

authority.
