1          Name of instrument

                 This instrument is the Part 21 Manual of Standards Amendment Instrument 2017 (No. 1).

2          Commencement

This instrument commences on the day of registration.

3          Amendment of Part 21 Manual of Standards

                 The Part 21 Manual of Standards is amended as set out in Schedule 1.

Schedule 1          Amendments

[1]       Subsection 1.5 (2)

Omit “31 May 2017”, substitute “30 November 2017”.

[2]       Section 1.10 (definition of Australian Sport Rotorcraft Association Gyroplane Specifications)

After “Gyroplane Specifications”, insert “(Australia)”.

[3]       Section 1.10 (definition of CAO 101.54)

After “CAO 101.54”, insert “– balloons (Australia)”.

[4]       Section 1.10 (definition of JAR-VLA)

Omit “JAR-VLA”, substitute “JAR VLA (Joint Aviation Authorities)”.

[5]       Section 1.10 (definition of UL/2-PT (Czech Republic))

Omit “UL/2-PT”, substitute “UL/2 PT2”.
