matta arc' supplied with frc'sh water from two watercourses known as Toono-ahhce and Governor’s Arms Creeks And whereas it is necessary and cxpedicmt that the' water so collected should he protected from all and c'very description of pollution Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and con sent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Pariiament assembled ami by the authority of the same as follows;—

Fublic Loans.
| Penalty on polluting | 1. Any person who shall wash any horse clog or other animal or clothes wool leather or the skins of any sheep lamb or other animal or any carriage cart or other vehicle or any noisome or offensive tiling or who shall throw or cast any dead animal or any dirt filth or other noisome or offensive thing or who shall liathe in the said watercourses or streams or in any reservoir basin aqueduct tunnel or waterway made or hereafter to be made for collecting or distributing the said water or who shall cause or suffer the water of any sewer or drain to run or be conveyed into the said watercourses or streams or either of them or into any reservoir aqueduct or tunnel connected with either of the said watercourses or streams or who shall cause or permit any other thing whatsocA'cr to be done to the said water whereby or by means whereof the said water or any part thereof shall or may he soiled fouled corrupted or injured shall on conviction thereof before any tevo Justices of the Peace forfeit and pay any sum not exceeding ten pounds for every such offence. |
