ACT.

iBitobeth n, An Act to withdraw from Parramatta Park an • q£ about three acres; to deem the area

so withdrawn to be dedicated under the Crown Lands Consohdation Act, 1913, as amended by subsequent Acts, for a war memorial and to be a pubhc reserve within the meaning of section two of the Trustees uf Pubhc Reserves Enabhng Act, 1924; to make provision with respect to the purposes for which the area so withdrawn may be used; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 25th November, 1952.]

T>E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, I J by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows;—

2 . (1) The land described in the Schedule to this Act

(2) Such land shall be deemed to be Crown land and to be dedicated under the Crcwn Lands Consolida­ tion Act, 1913, as amended by subsf quent Acts, for a war memorial, and the said Act, as so amended, shall apply to and in respect of such land.

Such land shall be deemed to be a public reserve

within the meaning of section two of the Trustees of

Public Reserves Enabling Act, 1924.

3. (1) Subject to this Act, the trustees appointed in Use of

may use it for such purposes as the Minister may

(2) Without limiting the purposes which the ,

Minister may approve and for which such land may be

used pursuant to subsection one of this section, it shall

be lawful for the Minister to approve of such land being used for the purpose of erecting or constructing thereon a memorial hall, bowling greens and tennis courts and for such land to be used for that purpose.

SCHEDULE.

ALL THAT piece or parcel of land containing by admeasurement 0 acres be the same more or less situate in the City of Parramatta county of Cumberland parish of St. Johr. Commencing at a point where the north-eastern side of Macquarie-street intersects the western side of O’Connell-street and bounded thence on the south-west by that side of Macquarie-street aforesaid bearing 275 degrees 17 minutes about 534 feet thence on the west by a line being parallel to O’Connell- street aforesaid bearing 4 degrees 37 minutes about 140 feet theuce on the north-west b.y a low fence about 150 feet thence on the north­ east by a line parallel to Macquarie-street aforesaid bearing 95 degrees 17 minutes about 430 feet and thence on the east by the western aide of O’Connell-street aforesaid bearing 184 degrees 17 minutes about 250 feet to the point of commencement.
