PARRAMATTA CITY COUNCIL (BRODIE STREET RECREATION AND DRAINAGE RESERVES) ACT.

An Act to enable the Council o f the City o f Parramatta Elizabeth ii

to sell certain lands at Rydalmere and to transfer the same free from all trusts, estates and interests affecting such lands; to amend the Local Government Act, 1919, as amended by subsequent A cts; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 9th May, 1962.]

thousand nine hundred and sixty-one, Rheem Australia Pty. Limited entered into a contract to purchase from the Council of the City of Parramatta certain lands in Brodie Street, Rydalmere, being Lots 134 to 141 inclusive, part Lot 153, part Lot 154, and Lots 155 and 156 on Deposited Plan registered number 14244 : And whereas the said Company intends to utilize the said lands as an area for parking motor vehicles belonging to employees of such Company : And whereas there is contiguous to the said Lot 156 a reserve for public recreation and a drainage reserve, being the lands more particularly described in the Schedule to this A c t: And whereas the said public recreation reserve is within an industrial area which has few dwelling-houses in close proximity to such reserve and has not been developed as a reserve for public recreation : And whereas the said drainage reserve is no longer required for drainage purposes : And whereas the said Company is desirous of acquiring the said public recreation reserve and drainage reserve and the said Council is desirous of disposing of the same pursuant to an agreement entered into between the said Company and Council in relation thereto ; And whereas the said Council has no authority under the Local Government Act, 1919, as amended by subsequent Acts, to sell and convey such public recreation reserve or such drainage reserve : And whereas it is expedient to authorise the said Council to transfer the said public recreation reserve and drainage reserve to the said

Company for sucb consideration and subject to such terms as have been agreed upon by and between such Council and Company, for an estate in fee simple freed and discharged from all trusts, estates and interests alfecting the same : Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and; Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows : —

ALL THAT piece or parcel of land situate in the City of Parramatta, Parish of Field of Mars, County of Cumberland, having a frontage to Brodie Street, Rydalmere and a rear line to Vineyard Creek com­ prising thirty-three and one-half (33-1) perches and being the whole, of the land in Certificate of Title Volume 7234 Folio 86.
