Parole Orders (Transfer) (Declaration of Corresponding Laws) Notice 2025

1.Citation

This notice is the Parole Orders (Transfer) (Declaration of Corresponding Laws) Notice 2025.

2.Commencement

This notice comes into operation as follows —

• (a)

  clauses 1 and 2 — on the day on which this notice is published on the WA legislation website;

• (b)

  the rest of the notice — on the day after that day.

3.Declaration of corresponding laws

For the purposes of the definition of corresponding law in section 3 of the Act, the following laws relating to the transfer of parole orders are declared to be corresponding laws for the purposes of the Act —

• (a)

  the Crimes (Sentence Administration) Act 2005 (ACT);

• (b)

  the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983 (NSW);

• (c)

  the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1981 (NT);

• (d)

  the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1984 (Qld);

• (e)

  the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983 (SA);

• (f)

  the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983 (Tas);

• (g)

  the Parole Orders (Transfer) Act 1983 (Vic).

4.Notice repealed

The notice made under section 3 of the Act published in the Gazette on 12 October 1984 at p. 3259 is repealed.
