No. 46 of 1968.

AN ACT to amend the Parliamentary Superannua-

tion Act, 1948-1964.

[Assented to 8th November, 1968.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Parliamentary

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Superannuation Act, 1948-1968.

2. Subsection (3a) of section ten of the principal

Act is repealed and re-enacted as follows

(3a) Where, after making an investigation pursuant to section eighteen of this Act in respect of any period of five years, including the period of five years that ended on the thirtieth day of June, 1966, the Government Actuary has reported or reports that the moneys in the Fund are insufficient to provide for the benefits which are a charge upon the Fund, the Treasurer shall, in addition to the moneys required to be paid by him into the Fund pursuant to subsection (3) of this section, pay into the Fund such annual amounts over a period of twenty-five years as the Government Actuary has certified in his report to be necessary to render the Fund sufficient to provide for those benefits, and any payments made under this subsection shall be paid out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund which is hereby permanently appropriated for that purpose. .
