AN ACT to amend the Parliamentary Superannua-

tion Act, 1948-1951.

[Assented to 9th January, 1954.]

BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

Short title

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Superannuation Act Amendment Act, 1953.

and citation.

(2) In this Act the Parliamentary Superannua- tion Act, 1948-1951,

Act No. 60 of 1948 as amended by Acts Nos. 32 of 1950 and 43 of 1951,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Superannuation Act, 1948-1953.

Coming into

operation.

2. The time prescribed for the coming into

by substituting for the passage, "five pounds (£5)" in line nine of subparagraph (i) of paragraph (a) of subsection (2) the passage, "six pounds (£6)";

by substituting for the passage, "two pounds ten shillings (£2 10s.)" in lines eleven and twelve of subparagraph (i) of paragraph (a) of subsection (2) the pas- sage, "three pounds (£3)";

(c)

by substituting for the passage, "six pounds (£6)" in line eight of paragraph (b) of subsection (2) the passage, "seven pounds (E7)";

(d)

by substituting for the passage, "three pounds (£3)" in lines ten and eleven of paragraph (b) of subsection (2) the pas- sage, "three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.)".
