s1 4 s3 Parliamentary Service Amendment Act 2002 No. 31, 2002 The Parliament of Queensland enacts— 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Service Amendment Act 2002 . 2 Act amended This Act amends the Parliamentary Service Act 1988. 3 Amendment of s 4 (Definitions) (1) Section 4, definition “employee” , after ‘not include’— omit, insert — ‘an officer of the parliamentary service.’. (2) Section 4, definition “misconduct” , paragraph (a), after ‘service;’— insert — ‘or’. (3) Section 4, definition “parliamentary precinct” , ‘means’— omit, insert — ‘means— (a) ’. (4) Section 4, definition “parliamentary precinct” , ‘administered, but’— omit, insert— ‘administered; or (b) any land or premises declared by the Governor in Council by gazette notice to be part of the parliamentary precinct for a stated period; but’.

s4 5 s5 Parliamentary Service Amendment Act 2002 No. 31, 2002 4 Amendment of s 29 (Salaries and conditions of employment) Section 29(3), from ‘Except’ to ‘, officers’— omit, insert — ‘Officers’. 5 Amendment of s 30 (Superannuation) (1) Section 30(2)(b), ‘pursuant to section 46(1)’— omit, insert — ‘under the transitional provision’. (2) Section 30(3)— insert — ‘ “transitional provision” means section 46 of this Act as in force immediately before this Act was amended by the ParliamentaryCommittees Act 1995 , section 35.’. © State of Queensland 2002
