An Act to amend the Parliamentary Salaries, Superannuation and Allowances Act 1973

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Salaries, Superannuation and Allowances Amendment Act 2011 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on 1 July 2011 but if it does not receive the Royal Assent by that date it is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2011. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Parliamentary Salaries, Superannuation and Allowances Act 1973 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Schedule 1 amended (Salaries payable to members) Schedule 1 to the Principal Act is amended by inserting after clause 3E the following clause: 3EA.   Notwithstanding clause 3E, the amount that the Auditor-General is to determine under clause 3E(a) and which is to have effect on and from 1 July 2011 is to be 102 per cent of the amount that was determined by the Auditor-General to have effect on and from 1 July 2010. 5Repeal of ActThis Act is repealed on the ninetieth day from the day on which it commences.
