AN ACT to amend section seven of the Parliamentary

Salaries and Allowances Act, 1967-1972.

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled. and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

(2) In this Act the Parliamentary Salaries and Allowances Act, 1967-1972, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Salaries and Allowances Act, 1967-1975.

Section 7

amended. 2. Section 7 of the principal Act is amended by adding after subsection (7) the following sub- section

(8) Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the holder of the office of Parliamen- tary Secretary of the Cabinet shall be paid the same salary and allowances as are from time to time payable under this Act to the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly. .
