Parliamentary Remuneration Amendment
(Leader of the Opposition) Regulation 2015

Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989
His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following
Regulation under the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to make temporary arrangements relating to the additional office holder remuneration of the Leader of the Opposition since the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council has been appointed as the Leader of the Labor Party and will stand for election to the Legislative Assembly in the State election due in March this year. Until that State election, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council will be entitled to the greater remuneration otherwise payable to the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly and the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly will be entitled to the lesser remuneration otherwise payable to the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council.
This Regulation is made under the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989, including section 6.

1 Name of Regulation
This Regulation is the Parliamentary Remuneration Amendment (Leader of the
Opposition) Regulation 2015.
2 Commencement
This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.
