His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to remove a provision (inserted by the Parliamentary Remuneration Amendment (Acting Premier) Regulation 2013 on 22 February 2013) that would have entitled the Deputy Premier to an additional salary and expense allowance when acting for or on behalf of the Premier under section 36 of the Constitution Act 1902.

This Regulation is made under the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989, including sections 6 (4) and 21 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Parliamentary Remuneration Amendment
(Deputy Premier) Regulation 2013.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989 No 160

Schedule 1 Additional salaries and expense allowances

Omit the matter relating to the Deputy Premier from Part 1.

Insert instead:
