Parliamentary Remuneration Amendment (Acting Premier) Regulation 2013

Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989

Her Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989.

Explanatory note
Section 6 of the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989 provides for holders of certain offices specified in Schedule 1 to that Act to receive a salary and expense allowance in addition to the basic salary to which they are entitled as members of Parliament. The additional salary and expense allowance to be received is expressed as a percentage of the basic salary.
The object of this Regulation is to amend Schedule 1 to specify the percentage of additional salary and expense allowance for the Deputy Premier when acting for and on behalf of the Premier under section 36 of the Constitution Act 1902.

This Regulation is made under the Parliamentary Remuneration Act 1989, including section 6 (4) and section 21 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Parliamentary Remuneration Amendment
(Acting Premier) Regulation 2013.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the
NSW legislation website.

Schedule 1 Additional salaries and expense allowances

Omit from Part 1 the matter relating to the Deputy Premier. Insert instead:

Deputy Premier (when not acting for and on behalf of 76% 27%
