An Act to repeal section 151c and to amend section 151D of the Parliamentary Elec­ torates and Elections Act, 1912-1949; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 16th May, 1950.]

the same, as follows :—

1 . ( 1 ) This Act may be cited as the "Parliamentary

Electorates and Elections (Amendment) Act, 1950."

(2) The Parliamentary Electorates and Elections Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts and by this Act, may be cited as the Parliamentary Electorates and Elections Act, 1912-1950.

2. The Parliamentary Electorates and Elections Act, 1912-1949, is amended—

(a) by omitting section 151c;
(b) by omitting from section 151D the words "Any expense incurred in the removal of any poster under this section may be recovered by the Electoral Commissioner in any court of com­ petent jurisdiction as a debt due to him by the candidate in whose interests or for whose bene­ fit the poster purports to have been posted up or exhibited.''
