An Act to amend section 25 of the Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Act. 1971. with respect to the right to a pension of a person who accepts an office or place of profit under the Crown. [Assented to, 15th April, 1980.]

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Exceilent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1.           This Act may be cited as the “Parliamientary Contributory Short title.

Superannuation (Constitution) Amendment Act, 1980”.

2.      (1) Except as provided in subsection (2), this Act shall Connncncc-

commence on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 shall commence on the day appointed and notified under section 2 (2) of the Constitution (Amendment) Act, 1980.

3 . The Parliamentary Contributory Superannuation Act, 1971, Amendment

is amended—

(a) by omitting section 25 (2) (b) and by inserting instead

to be incurred in carrying out the duties of the ollice, or both those fees and such an allowance; or

(b)

holds or accepts an ollice of profit under the Crown, other than the Crown in right of the State of New South Wales, but not being an office as a member of any legislature of a country other than New South Wales.
