PAKLIAMENTAEY ALLOWANCES

AND SALAKIES ACT.

Act No. 8, 1930.

An Act to reduce the allowances to Members of George v.

the Legislative Assembly and the salaries of Ministers of the Crown and of certain other persons; to amend the Constitution Act, 1902, and certain other A cts; to repeal the Parliamentary Allowances and Salaries Act, 1925; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 15th April, 1930.]

“O E it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, _ D by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South 'Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows ;—

1 . (1) This Act may be cited as the “ Parliamentary short title

Allowances and Salaries Act, 1930.”

(2) The Constitution Act, 1902, as amended by subsequent Acts, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

(3) This Act shall commence upon the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty.

2. The Principal Act is amended by omitting from Amendment

section twenty-eight the words “ eight hundred and seventy-five pounds ” and by inserting in lieu thereof the words “ seven hundred and forty-three pounds fifteen shillings.”

3. The Principal Act is further amended—
