AN ACT to amend the Parliamentary Allowances Act,

1911.

[Assented to 16th December, 1919.]

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inBE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Parliamentary Allow- ances Act Amendment Act, 1919, and shall be read as one with the Parliamentary Allowances Act, 1911, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Amendment of 2. From and after the commencement of this Act, the Section 9. allowance to each member of the Legislative Council and of

the Legislative Assembly, payable under section three of the principal Act, shall, except as hereinafter provided, be increased by one hundred pounds a year:

Provided that this section of this Act shall not apply to any member of the Legislative Council or Legislative Assembly who may hold one of the six principal executive offices of the Government liable to be vacated on political grounds, during such time as such office is held by him.
