Parliament of Queensland (Registered Political Parties) Amendment Act 2012 [s 1] The Parliament of Queensland enacts— 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Parliament of Queensland (Registered Political Parties) Amendment Act 2012 . 2 Commencement This Act commences, or is taken to have commenced, on 29 November 2012. 3 Act amended This Act amends the Parliament of Queensland Act 2001 . 4 Amendment of s 112 (Additional salary entitlement of some members) Section 112(3)(b)— omit, insert— ‘(b) a registered political party if— (i) at least 3 Assembly members are party members and were party members at the most recent election at which the party member was elected as an Assembly member; and (ii) for the most recent general election, the total number of first preference votes for all candidates who were party members was at least 10% of the total number of first preference votes for all candidates.’. © State of Queensland 2012 Page 4 2012 Act No. 46
