E it Enacted by the Governor of the Provincc of South Aus- Preambla,

and House of Assembly of the said Province, ifi this prescnt Par-

B tralia, with the advice and consent of thc Lcgislativc Council

The Commissioner of Public Works may take possession of all Certain perk Lands

may be taken for

that such report shall have been adopted by both Houses of Parliament: Provided nevertheless, that if the said Commission reports that no better site is available, then it shall be lawful for the said Commissioner at any time to erect on the said piece of land buildings for the convt:nicnce and accommodation of the Members and officers of either Housc of Parliament, providing the House of Parliament, for whose convenience and accorrlmodation such buildings

are

that portion of the Adelaide Park* Lands described in the Schedule parfiamcnt

Houses,

hereto, for the purpose of erecting thereon suitable. buildings for Parliament Houses: Provided that such buildings shall not be further proceeded with until a Commission, consisting of an equal number of Members of both Houses of Parliament, and such other persons as His Excellency the Governor shall think fit, shall report that the piece of land described in the said Schedule is

the best site obtainable for the erection of such buildings, and

are proposed to be erected, shall have passed a resolution affirming

the necessity of such buildings being so erected.

Comprising all that piecc or parcel of land commencing at the intersection of the western side of King William-roac? with the northern side of North-terrace. City of Adelaide; thence westerly alcng said side of terrace for three hundred and fifty-four links; thcncc northerly at right angles for three hundred and fifty-five links to the boundary of Railway Statim yard; thence north-easterly for one hundred and forty- one links to the south-western ;?mer of the Government Printing Office enclosnre; thcncc castcrly along south side of said enclosure for two hundred and forty-eight links to the western side of King William-road; +hence southerly by said$vestern

side of King TVilliam-road to the point, of commcnccment.
