ENDMENT ACT

No. 1 of 1990

AN ACT to amend the Parks and Reserves Act 1895.

[Assented to 14 June 1990.]

The Parliament of Western Australia enacts as follows:

Short title

1. This Act may be cited as the Parks and Reserves Amendment

Act 1990.

Commencement

2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it

receives the Royal Assent.

Section 5 amended

3. Section 5 of the Parks and Reserves Act 1895* is amended by

inserting after subsection (5) the following subsections

CC

(5A) A lease granted under the power conferred by subsection (5) may include an option or options to renew that lease for a further term not exceeding 21 years in the aggregate.

(5B) A copy of a lease granted, whether originally or by way of an exercise of an option, shall be laid before each House of Parliament within 14 sitting days of approval. ".
