AN ACT to amend the Parks and Reserves Act 1895.

[Assented to 25 March 1985.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Parks and LhgrptrtilllTpal

Reserves Amendment Act 1985.

(2) In this Act the Parks and Reserves Act 1895 is appr ovedd as

Section 5

amended.

2. Section 5 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

in subsection (3), by inserting after "(4)" in paragraph (b) the following-

, (4a), "; and

(b)

by inserting after subsection (4) the follow-

ing subsection

'C (4a) The Board constituted a body

corporate under this Act under the name King's Park Board has power to lease that portion of Reserve No. A1720, known as King's Park, which has been surveyed as Perth Lot 955, containing

258 square metres, the boundaries of

which are shown on Lands and Surveys Diagram No. 86382, for the purpose of a kiosk for the sale of refreshments, such lease to be for a term not exceeding 3 years at any one time and to be subject to such terms and conditions as the Governor may approve, which may include a provision for renewal from time to time. ".

Section 8

amended.

3. Section 8 of the principal Act is amended

(a) in subsection (1)-

(i)  by deleting "vehicles, horses" and substituting the following-

" vehicles, birds, horses "; and

(ii)   by deleting "and cattle" and sub- stituting the following-

" cattle, and animals of any other

kind "; and

(b)

in subsection (2), by deleting "fifty dollars" and substituting the following-

" $200 ".
