1Name of rule

The name of this rule is the Parking Permit Fees Rule 2020.

2Commencement

This rule commences on 17 August 2020.

3Repeal

The Parking Permit Fees Rule 2019 is repealed.

4Determination of fees

The National Land (Road Transport) Ordinance 2014 applies ACT Laws (generally about pay parking) to National Land. The Minister has the authority to determine fees under Section 96 (determination of fees, charges and other amounts) of the Road Transport (General) Act 1999 (ACT).

The fee payable for a parking permit mentioned in an item in column 2 of schedule 1 is the amount for that item in column 3.

The fees are effective from the date specified in column 3 of Schedule 1.

5Payment of fees

A fee listed in schedule 1 is payable to the Commonwealth by the applicant for the thing to which the application relates.

6Definitions

In this instrument:

fee includes a charge or other amount.

parking permit—see:

  1. (a)

    the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Regulation 2017, dictionary; and

  2. (b)

    the Parking Permit Rule 2014 made pursuant to subsection 11 of the National Land (Road Transport) Ordinance 2014.
