Painters’ Registration Board Amendment
Rules 2010
Made by the Painters’ Registration Board with the approval of the
Governor in Executive Council.1. Citation
These rules are the Painters’ Registration Board Amendment
Rules 2010.2. Commencement
These rules come into operation as follows —
(a) rules 1 and 2 — on the day on which these rules are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the rules — on the day after that day. 3. Rules amended
These rules amend the Painters’ Registration Board Rules 1962.
4. Rule 8A inserted
After rule 7 insert:
8A. Prescribed qualifications (Act s. 12(1)(b)(i)) For the purposes of section 12(1)(b)(i) of the Act, the
prescribed qualification is the Certificate III in Painting
and Decorating BCG30603, a prescribed VET
qualification as defined in the Vocational Education
and Training Act 1996 section 5(1).

5. Rule 8 amended
Delete rule 8(1a) and insert:
(2A) The prescribed additional examinations that persons
applying to be registered under section 12(1)(b) of the
Act have to have passed are examinations on the
subjects of —(a) business management; and
(b) estimating and specification.
6. Second Appendix amended
In the Second Appendix in Form 2 delete the passage that
begins with “DECLARATION” and ends with “Commissioner forDeclarations” and insert: Statutory declaration
