AN ACT to amend the Painters' Registration

Act, 1961.

[Assented to 1st November, 1962.]

RE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the

same, as follows:—

short title

and citation. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Painters'

Registration Act Amendment Act, 1962.

(2) In this Act the Painters' Registration Act,

1961, is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Painters' Registration Act, 1961-1962.

2. This Act shall come into operation on the day i l erelice-

on which the principal Act comes into operation.

(a) by repealing and re-enacting subsection

Constitution

(1) as follows:— of Board

(1) The Board shall consist of three members appointed by the Governor, of whom one shall be

(a) the person who, for the time being, is the chairman of the Builders' Registration Board of Western Australia, and he shall be the chairman of the Board;

(b) a person who is-

(i)

a member of the Associa-

tion; and

(ii)   nominated for appoint- ment as a member of the Board by the Association, in accordance with this section;

(c) a person who is nominated for appointment as a member of the Board in accordance with this section, by the body known as The West Australian Chamber of Manufactures and who shall represent the body known as the Australian Paint Manufacturers Federation (W.A. Branch). ;

(b) by substituting for the words, "the said" in line two of subsection (2), the word. "The";

(c)	by deleting the word "Incorporated" in line three of subsection (2).
(d)	by deleting the passage, "paragraph (b) of" in line eight of subsection (2);
(e)	by substituting for the words, "the said paragraph" in lines ten and eleven of sub- section (2), the words, "that subsection"; and
(f)	by adding after the word, "person" in line one of subsection (4), the passage, ", other than the person who is appointed Chairman of the Board by this Act,".
