This instrument is the Paid Parental Leave Amendment (Public Interest Certificates for Work Health and Safety Purposes) Rules 2025.

This instrument commences the day after this instrument is registered.

This instrument is made under section 298 of the Paid Parental Leave Act 2010.

After section 56

Insert:

56A

Work health and safety

For the purposes of paragraph 55(1)(b), this section covers a disclosure that is reasonably necessary to assist a:

(a) Commonwealth agency (including the Human Services Department); or

(b) State agency; or

(c) Territory agency,

to manage a potential or actual work health and safety risk to that agency at premises where the Human Services Department is present.
