OZONE PROTECTION ACT 1989

LIST OF PRODUCTS TO WHICH SECTION 44 APPLIES

I, Roslyn Joan Kelly, Minister of State for the Environment,

Sport, and Territories, acting under subsection 44(4) of

the Ozone Protection Act 1989, DECLARE that from

27 May 1993 the following products* are products to which

section 44 applies:

1.         Automobile and truck air condition units

(whether incorporated in vehicles or not)

2.         Domestic and commercial refrigeration and air

conditioning/heat pump equipment**

e.g.      Refrigerators

Freezers

Dehumidifiers

Water coolers

Ice Machines

Air conditioning and heat

        pump units

3.         Aerosol products, except medical aerosols

4.         Portable fire extinguishers

5.         Insulation boards, panels and pipe covers

6.         Pre-polymers

*   Though not when transported in consignments of

personal or household effects or in similar non-

commercial situations normally exempted from

customs attention

**   When containing controlled substances in Part I,

Division I and Part II of Schedule I of the

Ozone Protection Act 1989 as a refrigerant and/or

in insulating material of the product
