T )E it enacted by the King-’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with

the advice and ccnisent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Xew South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Vet mav be cited as the

Oxford-street Extension

Act, 1901.”

Land vesttd in

2. The Metropolitan Hoard of Water Supply and Sewerage is

borougit of

Paddington h r a

hereby divest('d of the lands described in the Sehednle hereto, and the

public way.

said lands are vestc'd in the borough of Paddington, subject to the

following conditions : ~

(a)

The council of the said borough shall, within six months after the commencement of this Act, construct and open for traffic

a public way on the said land;

(b)

Act No. 81, 1904.

(b)

Tor tlic pur])os(' of maintainiii”', filtering, vopaii-ing, and constructing^ any works of the Crown or of the Metropolitan ]b)ard of M'at('r Siip})ly and Sewc'raye on or nnd(‘r tin' said lands, the Crown and tlie Constructing Autliorily for such works and the said hoard shall, until tlu' public way is opened on such lands, have' the same powers, and in the exercise of such powers shall he subject to the same liabilities as if the said lands were str(>('ts.

3.               The amount of the unimproved value of the land so vested, Vuiuoto u- cmiiiot

as estimated by the Seci'c'tary for huhlie Works, shall he credited fy

the said hoard in the accounts kept in the 'treasury.
