Order regarding volunteers taking part in

emergency operations

under the

State Emergency and Rescue Management Act 1989

I, the Hon Gladys Berejiklian MP, Premier of the State of New South Wales, pursuant to	section 60D of the State Emergency and Rescue Management Act 1989, do, by this my Order,
direct that the provisions of Part 3A of that Act apply to emergency operations carried out in
connection with the emergency caused by severe weather (commencing on 28 March 2017) in the
State by all volunteer emergency workers from the NSW State Emergency Service, Fire & Rescue
NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Volunteer Rescue Association taking part in those emergency operations.
This Order remains in force for 7 days from the date of its publication on the NSW legislation website.
