Order regarding volunteers taking part in

emergency operations

under the

State Emergency and Rescue Management Act 1989

I, Mike Baird MP, Premier of the State of New South Wales, in pursuance of section 60D of the
State Emergency and Rescue Management Act 1989, do, by this my Order, direct that the
provisions of Part 3A of that Act apply to emergency operations carried out in connection with the
emergency caused by the severe weather event that commenced on 31 August 2016.

This Order remains in force for 30 days from the date of its publication on the NSW legislation website.
