Order regarding volunteers taking part

in emergency operations

under the

State Emergency and Rescue Management Act 1989

I, Andrew John Stoner, MP, Acting Premier of the State of New South Wales, pursuant to section 60D of the State Emergency and Rescue Management Act 1989, do, by this my Order, direct that the provisions of Part 3A of that Act apply to emergency operations carried out by the following persons in connection with the emergency caused by fires in the State:

(a) all volunteer rural fire fighters within the meaning of the Rural Fires Act 1997,

(b)

all volunteer emergency workers from the NSW State Emergency Service, Fire and Rescue NSW, Ambulance Service of NSW and any NSW Volunteer Rescue Association unit taking part in emergency operations in response to those fires.
