ORDER IN COUNCIL—Public Service Management and Employment Act 1988
Queensland Subordinate Legislation 1991 No. 31 ————— ORDER IN COUNCIL Public Service Management and Employment Act 1988 The Administrator of the Government, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Premier, Minister for Economic and Trade Development and Minister for the Arts— (a) revokes— (i) the Order in Council made on 21 July 1988 and published in the Gazette of 23 July 1988, at page 3082; and (ii) the Order in Council made on 21 December 1989 and published in the Gazette of 23 December 1989, at page 2705; and (b) declares that, for the purposes of section 17 of the Act, the power— (i) to appoint to an office or class of office; or (ii) to appoint or second any officer or member of a class of officer to an office or to a class of office; where the office or class of office— (iii) has a maximum salary no greater than the maximum for an office of Administrative Officer Level 8; and (iv) except in the case of an office or class of office of member of the personal staff of a Minister, Leader of the Opposition or leader of a recognised party—is not one to which appointment is, under section 19(3) of the Act, required to be made on a contract basis; may be exercised by the Minister of the Crown responsible for
