Order declaring state of emergency in relation to bushfires

under the

State Emergency and Rescue Management Act 1989

I, Gladys Berejiklian, Premier of the State of New South Wales, in pursuance of section 33 of the

State Emergency and Rescue Management Act 1989, being satisfied that an emergency, namely

bushfires in various parts of the State, constitutes a significant and widespread danger to life or property in New South Wales, do, by this my Order, declare that a state of emergency exists in the whole of the State in relation to that emergency.

This Order has effect immediately upon its being made and the declaration of the state of emergency remains in force (unless sooner revoked) until the end of the day on 10 January 2020.
