declai(‘ tlial it was expedient to carry out a ecutaiu work, namely, the crc'ciioii of a Hospital for tlu' Insane at Orange;: And wlnweas on tin; passing oP the said resolution, a statutory duty was hy the said Act imposed on the Secretary for Public AVorks to introduce a Bill into the said Assemldy to sanction tlie carrying out of the said work : Be it tlu'r('for(‘ enacted by the King’s Alost Ivxcellent Alajcsty, hy and with, the advice and consent of tlu' Leii'islativc Council and Legislative Assernhly of .New South AÂ ales in Parlianu nt assembled, and hy the authority of the same, as follows ; -

1 . d’his Act mav be cited as the “ Orange Hospital for Insane short title.

2 . The works de.scribed in the Schedule to this Act are hereby V̂ork .■ianctioneii.

sanctioned ; and the carrying out of the same hy the Secretary for Public AAhn-ks, or the member of the Executive Council for the time being performing tlu' duties of the said Secretary is hereby authorised, subject to the provisions of this Act, and for that purpose lie shall he, and shall have the pow'crs and duties of, a Constructing Authority within the meaning of tlu‘ Ihiblic AVorks Act, 1900.

3 . Tlu' ]dan of the .said work is the plan marked “ HospitalI’lau of work,

for Insane, Orange,” sigm d by the Secretary fir Public AVorks, and countersigned hy the Government Architect and deposited in the public olHce of the said Secretary.

4 .    The cost of carrying out the said work, ('stimated at seventy- Cost, iiow to be

si.x thousand pounds, shall he defrayed from afipropriations of j 1k>'tefi'wcii. the estimated cost by more than ten per centum.
