Optometrists Registration Board Amendment

Rules (No. 2) 2002

Made by The Optometrists Registration Board with the approval of the
Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These rules may be cited as the Optometrists Registration Board
Amendment Rules (No. 2) 2002.

2.            The rules amended

The amendments in these rules are to the Optometrists
Registration Board Rules 1941*•

3.            Rule 21A inserted

After rule 21 the following rule is inserted -

21A. Attendance fee for chairman and members
For attendance at each meeting of the Board

(a) the chairman is to be paid -

(i)     if the meeting takes 4 hours or longer, $323.00; or

(ii)     if the meeting takes less than 4 hours, $213.00;

and

(b) each other member is to be paid -

(i)     if the meeting takes 4 hours or longer, $215.00; or

(ii)     if the meeting takes less than 4 hours.

4.            Rule 52A inserted

After rule 52 the following rule is inserted —

52A. Attendance fee for a hearing
For attendance at each day of the hearing —

(a) the chairman is to be paid —

(i)     if the hearing sits for 4 hours or longer on that day, $323.00; or

(ii)     if the hearing sits for less than 4 hours on that day, $213.00;

and

(b) each other member is to be paid —

(i)     if the hearing sits for 4 hours or longer on that day, $215.00; or

(ii)     if the hearing sits for less than 4 hours on that day, $142.00.

Passed by a resolution of The Optometrists Registration Board at a meeting of the Board held on 24 September 2002.
