Optometrists Amendment Regulations 2009

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Optometrists Amendment
Regulations 2009.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.            Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Optometrists Regulations 2006.

4.            Regulation 15 replaced

Delete regulation 15 and insert:

to be registered in this State as an optometrist.

15. Fees for registration under the Mutual Recognition
(Western Australia) Act 2001 or Trans-Tasman
Mutual Recognition (Western Australia) Act 2007

The fees in Schedule 2 are prescribed as the fees payable in respect of the registration of a person entitled under —

(a) Mutual Recognition Act 1992 Recognition (Western Australia) Act 2001;

the or

(b) the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition
Act 1997 (Commonwealth), as adopted by the
Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Western
Australia) Act 2007,

5.            Schedule 2 replaced

Delete Schedule 2 and insert:

Schedule 2 — Fees for registration under Mutual

Recognition (Western Australia) Act 2001 or Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition (Western
