AN ACT to amend the Optometrists Act,
1940-1960.
[Assented to 8th December, 1965.]
BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—
Short title
| and citation. | 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Optometrists |
Act Amendment Act, 1965.
(2) In this Act the Optometrists Act, 1940-1960,
is referred to as the principal Act.
(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act
may be cited as the Optometrists Act, 1940-1965.

3. Section three of the principal Act is amended— 8. 3ended.

"Optical dispenser" means a person or firm engaged in making, supplying or fitting spectacles, lenses or appliances for the aid of the powers of vision in accordance with pre- scriptions made or given by oculists or optometrists; and
| (b) | by adding after the passage, "spectacles- making" in the penultimate and last lines of the interpretation, "Optometrist", the passage, ", or an optical dispenser". |
4. The principal Act is amended by adding after L3a6A.
section thirty-six, the following section—
36A. Nothing in this Act shall operate or be optical
