OPTOMETRISTS ACT 1930 - REGULATION

(Relating to fees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive

Council, and in pursuance of the Optometrists Act 1930, has been pleased to approve the Regulation made by the Board of Optometrical Registration and set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 30 September 1990.

Amendments

2. The Optometrists Regulations 1965 are amended:

(a) by omitting from Regulation 14 (1) (b) the matter "$96" and by

inserting instead the matter "$105";

(b)

by omitting from Regulation 23 the matter "$49" and by inserting instead the matter "$80";

(c)

by omitting from Regulation 25 the matter "$96" and by inserting instead the matter "$160".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The objects of this Regulation are:

(a) to increase (from $96 to $105) the fee for an application for registration as an optometrist under the Optometrists Act 1930; and
(b) to increase (from $49 to $80) the annual roll fee under that Act; and
(c) to increase (from $96 to $160) the fee for the restoration of a name to the register of optometrists kept under that Act.
