Ombudsman Regulations2 (Amendment)

The Australian Capital Territory Executive hereby makes the following Regulations under the OmbudsmanAct 1989.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Ombudsman Regulations.

Insertion

2.  After regulation 1 of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Interpretation

“1A.  In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

‘the Act’ means the Ombudsman Act 1989.”.

Certain persons not to be prescribed authorities

3.  Regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “Ombudsman Act 1989” and substituting “Act”.

Insertion

4.  After regulation 2 of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Prescribed authorities

“2A.  Pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition of ‘prescribed authority’ in subsection 3 (1) of the Act, a body specified in Schedule 1A is declared to be a prescribed authority for the purposes of the Act.”.

5.  Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting “Ombudsman Act 1989” and substituting “Act”.

Insertion

6.  After Schedule 1 of the Principal Regulations the following Schedule is inserted:
